We have created a research and development team that is composed of multi-departmental associates. Todd Dunlop is our R&D manager. Also, serving on the R&D team are associates from sales, marketing, operations, QA and engineering. The R&D team’s mission statement is: To generate and replicate leading-edge products. |
Significant expansion and commitment to research and development along with educational opportunities are required to reach this goal. In January 2010, we unveiled our test kitchen. The test kitchen (or pilot plant) allows us more flexibility in product creation and testing scenarios. |

At HPP we have been able to master complex formulas and produce some of the most upscale products in the pet food industry. Consumer demand for upscale and luxury dog treats continues to rise as humanization of pets becomes the norm. Also, as consumers continue to become more health conscience with their own diets, we see the same trend in the products they purchase for their pets. One of the fasting growing markets for pet foods and treats is in the natural, organic and holistic segments. |
HPP has received certification to produce organic baked treats by meeting the organic standards established by the USDA National Organic Program. We also offer our customers a complete line of holistic formulas featuring baked dog food, baked cat food and crunchy snacks. Our holistic formulas are designed to provide the nutrition pets need for good health from multiple sources of ingredients which contain three different types of proteins, fats, fibers and grains. |
